Indian Navy offers a lot of lucrative and prestigious career opportunities to aspirants. The recruitment process to the various positions of Navy is done through certain Entrance exams. The written test for the selection of candidates in Navy is carried out by UPSC. Those who pass the written test will be called for an interview. The interview may include areas of HR as well as other questions based on the qualifying exam. The interview is carried out by Service Selection Board (SSB). It is also mandatory to obtain the necessary qualifications from any of the recognized educational institution of the country.
Indian Navy invites online application for Artificer Aprientice and Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) twice in a year. For both posts common notification is issued, single form is submmited and common exam is conducted. The notifications comes in the month of June and December. The exam for June notifcation held in August month and for December notification held in March month.
Date of Birth:
Artificer Apprentice: A candidate must not below 16.5 and must not be above 20 Years.
Senior Secondary Recruit: A candidate must not below 16.5 and must not be above 21 Years.
Artificer Apprentice: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
Senior Secondary Recruit: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
The selection criteria are divided into the following stages:
The Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate.The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 level.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
The PFT will be of qualifying nature but it is mandatory for selection.
